Subject: The roof waterproofing work for the Materials Experimental Building and Materials Science and Technology Building is scheduled for October 19, 2024 (Saturday) from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Description:

1. This project is scheduled for October 19, 2024 (Saturday) from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, involving the waterproofing work on the roof of the Materials Science and Technology Building. The work will include the use of a crane to lift abandoned existing equipment and construction materials. During this time, the parking spaces on both sides of the rear road of the Materials Science and Technology Building and the parking area at the entrance on the first floor will be temporarily closed. Traffic management personnel will be present. Additionally, as part of the west campus roadworks (at the rear entrance of the Materials Science and Technology Building), iron plates will be laid over newly installed drainage covers. Thus, during the laying of the plates, the road will be temporarily closed in both directions; at other times, it will maintain one-way traffic. The expected affected facilities include the Materials Science and Technology Building, Materials Experimental Building, Alloy Experimental Building, West Campus Dormitory, and the Second Guest House. We kindly ask personnel and vehicles to avoid this area if possible. If it is a necessary route, please pay attention to your safety and cooperate with the traffic management personnel.
2. The scope of the construction is as shown in the attached diagram. Noise and inconvenience may occur due to machinery operation during the construction period; we appreciate your understanding.
3. During the construction period, non-related personnel and vehicles are prohibited from approaching the surrounding area of the work site. Please follow traffic control measures. If it rains during the scheduled work period, a new date will be arranged for the construction.
