Affected Locations: All buildings on Nanda Campus (EXCEPT the Physical Education & Health Building, Extension Education Building, and Building N).

Outage Schedule: Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Purpose & Details:

1. Background: Following the recent transformer failure on Nanda Campus, an independent third-party professional assessment has been completed. The brand-new transformer has arrived on site. Our team will proceed with hoisting, wiring, and power restoration testing to fully restore power quality and system stability to the campus.
2. Safety Protocols: A complete power shutdown of the affected zones is required during the installation. To protect your equipment from power surges when electricity is restored, all departments and laboratories in the affected areas must unplug all computers and precision instruments, and turn off all distribution boards and breaker boxes.
3. Timeline & Restoration: The end time listed above is an estimate. Actual restoration depends on installation progress and testing results:

1. Early Completion: If work finishes ahead of schedule, power will be restored early without further notice.
2. Potential Delays: Should any technical adjustments be required during installation or testing, the restoration time may be pushed back.

4. Contingency Planning: If your department has scheduled critical meetings, events, or precision instrument operations during this window, please review your plans immediately. We strongly recommend rescheduling these activities or setting up backup power options to avoid any disruption.
