Power outage areas: General Building II

Reasons and explanations for power outages:

1. Due to generator testing at General Building II, the construction sequence and details regarding the impact of the power outage are outlined below:

1. At 10:00 AM, the utility power supply will be disconnected, and power will be switched to the newly installed generator for the emergency circuits. This process will involve a brief power interruption during the switchover; following the switch, only the emergency circuits will be powered by the generator, while the remaining circuits will remain without power.
2. At 11:30 AM, the power supply will be switched back to the mains (reverting to Circuit A); a brief power interruption will occur during this transition, after which power will be restored to the entire building.

2. During the power outage, departments-related units in the power outage area must unplug all computers and experimental equipment within their jurisdiction, and cut off the power supply at distribution boards and switch boxes to maintain electricity safety and avoid possible damage when power is restored.

3. Regarding the power outage, in addition to asking the relevant units in the power outage area to respond in advance, announcements will also be posted at the entrances and exits of each building and at the door of each elevator floor. If the repairing works are completed early, power will be sent out early. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the repairing works.
