National Tsing-Hua University expects to restore regular power supply next Monday
With the strong assistance from the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Ministry of Education, Taipower company and other agencies, NTHU expects to restore regular power supply next Monday.
Thanks to Taipower's Hsinchu District Sales Office for lending the emergency cables in stock to our university. They started working on the wiring construction over this coming weekend and connected the power supply to the second high-voltage station.
Our campus is expected to perform system switching between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. next Monday (23rd). At that time, the power supply to the first and second high-voltage station power supply areas on campus must be suspended. After the system switching is completed, power supply can be restored to the entire campus.
The two power supply improvement projects originally planned by NTHU, including the rerouting of the second high-voltage station cables to common pipelines and the installation of backup cables, will still be accelerated to ensure the stability and security of the campus's power supply in the future.
