Affected Areas (Including Surroundings):

220V Power Supply Zones in the Engineering Science Building and Campus Security Office (including surrounding streetlights and associated auxiliary electrical facilities).

Purpose of Work:

Due to the aging and damaged insulation of the 220V power lines connecting the Engineering Science Building and the Campus Security Office, the Maintenance and Construction Group will conduct an emergency cable replacement to ensure campus electrical safety and prevent potential accidents. A power outage is required during the construction period to ensure the safety of operations. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Key Safety & Impact Reminders:

Noise & Vibration Alert: Construction activities, including opening/closing manhole covers, cable extraction/replacement, and the operation of heavy machinery, will generate unavoidable mechanical noise and vibration. We appreciate your understanding.

Traffic & Pedestrian Safety: Warning signs and safety barriers will be placed around the construction site. Service vehicles will be parked near manhole covers along the road. Please slow down when passing the work zone (the segment between the Engineering Science Building and Campus Security Office) and follow the guidance of onsite personnel.

Environmental Care: The Maintenance and Construction Group will supervise the contractor to ensure prompt cleanup of any construction debris and minimize the impact on the campus environment.

Equipment Protection: Affected units must unplug all computers and precision laboratory equipment and turn off all power switches before the outage to ensure equipment safety.
